can you help me out a little please......

Hello everyone I am looking into getting a diesel and I am pretty much set on a 7.3 I came across this one close to my house so i wanted to get someone elses opinion on this. Do you think that this is a good deal, and what should I look for when I test drive it.

Thanks for the space and everyone have a good one.

Too much IMO for an XL. It looks to be in good shape but I wouldn't go higher then 11k if it were me. When you take a look at it, start it cold, don't let them run it before you look at it, see how it starts. When you drive see if it tracks straight, take you hands off the wheel and press the brakes, see if it pulls. Just give it a good once over, check for rust, signs of damage. Also, pull off the intake tube coming off the turbo and check the fins, make sure they are straight and still sharp. If the edges are rounded off it means dirt has gotten past the filter and into the engine. Also check the turbo shaft for any movement, side to side and in and out.

Just looked at the pictures larger, they misprinted their article, it's an XLT. I still wouldn't go more then 10-11k if it were me.

Here is one for sale that would be a better deal if it were me.
