7.3 wont start

Stoped and fueled up after fueling went to start. had no wait to start light. found blown fuse under hood replaced fuse wait to start light worked no start, was told bad gpr replaced it with a cheeper relay that should have worked. truck started and ran for about 3 hrs. parked truck and gpr kept heating the glow plugs. bought the correct relay started the first try but nothing since and now the wait to start light wont come on no bad fuses but a confused owner please help

That is usually an indication of the fuel heater in the fuel filter bowl shorting out. Unplug the heater, recheck that 30a fuse and see if the light comes on and sarts.

un pluged heater fuse still good still no light still no start i have power to gpr little red and little orange also have power but none to glow plugs

check the valve cover harness's....may have burnt the connectors up to the glow plugs

checked harness all is good there. pulled the mod out off the driverside kick panel smelt burnt. Removed all external screws took apart the mod is burnt inside any ideas as to why? a rebuilt one is 250 and would hate to put it in and burn it up also

IDMs do fail from time to time with no real reason. not the best place for a module if you ask me
