99 stroker in an 89

I recently bought a 1999 powerstroke from a van for a very good price. My intention was to put it into my 1989 F-250 which had a IDI 7.3 that died recently and an manual 5 spd..

Anyone have any experience with this kind of conversion? I'm not really even sure where to start. The Tranny looks like it will bolt right up, but i need to find a clutch and flywheel that will work with both.

The bigger problem is gonna be all the danged electronics.

any advice?

thanks in advance,
Peter

an intercooler

are you going from a manual to manual??

I'm keepin my 5 spd manual- it bolts up fine, just need the right flywheel+clutch. Mounts all see like they'll work with some minor mods.

I got the complete harness+several computer boxes, but there are 2 big plugs- one black one white that don't seem to plug into anything... chassis electrical from the van??

I don't currently have an intercooler- than van powerstroke didn't use one. I have been told that the van powerstroke used a larger turbo because of it
