where is the best place to install the pyrometeer probe

The best place is your exhaust manifold. Use the drivers side as its less of a run for the wires.

You should get install directions, but on there website they say 5/16ths hole 1/8th NPT for the tap

man we should have done it when i installed my set, we could have used pics or something, i know im not local but it could have worked!!

I agree exhaust manifold is the only way to go. Temps differ vastly if you put it anywhere else...

And the exhaust manifold is very easy to drill/tap. MUCH easier than plate steel. It won't take you more than 10 minutes.

use a vacuum/shop vac next to the whole while you are drilling. Then put some wheel bearing grease on the tap to hold on to the shavings. Don't want cast iron shavings getting back into the cylinders some how. Not likely, but better to be safe....
