mbrp exhaust

i plan on getting the stainless steel 4" Turboback MBRP. i like the sound but i was browsing the otherday and some guy on another forum said that MBRP does a good job of cutting down the smoke coming out. im gettin a chip put at the same time as the exhaust cuz all i want from the truck is for it to smoke. is this true that with the mbrp it wont? and does your mileage affect the performance? ive got a couple hundered over 300K.

I don't know how any exhaust system on the market could cut down on smoke. Unless you're talking about an new 08 with a DPF, and that's not the case with you... I don't know what this guy your talking to is smoking, but I'd say he's wrong. My MBRP smokes a lot with a hot tune in the truck.

Ive got the same exhaust and it smokes good on 70% bullydog power. It smokes a little on stock settings but hardly noticeable.

Heck, he's lying, any free flow exhaust will smoke more than stock, heck, I put on a magnaflow and when I rev it up, I get smoke and everything on my truck is bone stock

I can get mine to smoke on stock if I rev it, but on my looney tune I can make her smoke pretty well if I give her enough throttle from a stop or load on the throttle while moving, to get rid of those annoying tailgaters .

4" EXHAUST

Shore man & Others
I just put a 4" MBRP s/s turbo back exhaust on my Excursion. I checked all the prices. Larry at Discount Power Parts gave me the best price. Be sure to mention you are a member of this forum.
