TW chip cause problems??
So my truck has been acting a little funny lately, one day it will start instantly, idle perfectly and run great all day. Next time Ill go to start it, it will barely idle and Ill have no throttle response at all. Ill turn it off and on until it stops doing this and then it will run fine. It even died on me out of nowhere driving down the road. Restarted and ran fine. I have a TW chip that I just removed from my truck earlier, and now I cant get my truck to re-create this problem its been having. Could it be possible that a bad connection from the chip to the PCM cause all this?
Ive been driving around, turning my truck off and on for about the past hour and cant seem to get the problem to happen again..

I would check the contact on the pcm, make sure they are clean & look at the contacts on the chip & make sure they are clean also. Did you have anything holding the chip securely to the pcm ie tape & the cable to the chip connected properly & not flopping around?

Yea contacts are nice and clean and seemed to have a good connection, Im just gonna drive it a few days w/o the chip and see if the problem ever re-occurs. If not ill re-install the chip and just make sure i tape it on there nice and tight from the back of the chip to the PCM box. Also cj, I noticed your from Smryna, I live in Newark, DE. Got a pic of your truck? Maybe ive seen you around b4?
