What oil?

The oil needs to be changed in this new truck...what do you guys suggest for 210K miles? I was thinking some Rotella oil. Not really interested in paying for Amsoiil. Is a WIX filter alright? What about fuel filter?

Motorcraft is the way to go as far as your filter. It's only $10 at WalMart and is the best way to go. Oil wise is all up to you. There are opinions on every brand and weight of oil all over this website. just go with something specifically for diesels. Rotella is good stuff if you go that route. I have always used Motorcraft and just started using Valvoline in my 01. I put in the Valvoline 5w-40 Extreme Blue synthetic. Haven't really driven yet but will give it a shot. Welcome to the .org.

most popular seem to be Rotell and Motorcraft. 15w-40. some do 10w-30 in the winter, i may try that next year. there are other oils, Delo, Valvoline etc. i use Rotella and am very happy.

the filter number is 1995 i think.

Any diesel specific oil. 15w40 is fine. 10w30 if it's pretty cold. 5w40 for year round. Synthetic or not is up to you and your wallet. Most any filter is fine. I have Baldwins ALL over. Just take your pick. 15 qts every 5k miles. Maybe stretch to 6k or 6.5k. Maybe. Fuel every 15k. Less if lots of trailer towing.
