diy intake

hey im going to do my diy intake as soon as i can get my filter. i called up at advanced auto parts and asked if they could order a aem dryflow air filter 4 inches in diameter 9 inches long and the little girl said i've never heard of aem. I laughed and told her to have a good day and thank you. but i was wondering if anyone know a part number...napa or advanced etc...for an 4" dia. 9" long air filter. i want a filter that washable reusable thanks. and also. the 4" diameter by 4" long piece of stainless only serves a purpose to join the filter and the intake tube together right? could i just just a piece of pvc cleaned up and all because i have a big long tube in the garage. thanks

sam

The Napa # for the "DIY Tymar" style is 6637. It's not washable/reusable though.

Yes, PVC will work fine.
