Need a Tranny advice please.

Alright so on my way home tonight my transmission feels like it starts slipping. I get on it and yup its slipping. Pisses me off. I take the brand new edge evolution programmer out and the transmission is ok ? I dont get it. Anyways im into a transmission. I have done alot of reading on the tugger kit valve body and the notorious torque converter issues. So here are my questions. The tugger kit yes or no or other companies . Torque converter do i have mine built with a 3 disc and have them lower the stall speed to 1600 rpm or look for a 6.0l one. I am probably going to do this next week so ill start ordering all the parts for it then send it in for rebuiild. Again I have a 2002 excursion with a mbrp exhaust and a full intake. I bought the edge evolution 15000 programmer. I do alot of towing in the summer with this truck. PS anyone else have this issue with this programmer ? I now regret selling my old superchips tuner.Post away and thanks for all the replies in advance.

Vito.

it could just be the edge unless you know for sure its your tranny.

here is my opinion:

BTS or JW Valve Body
Precision Industries TQC
Upgraded clutches (i have heard a lot of good about Borg Warner)
Upgraded Cooler

Contact CT Performance (Sponsor) abou the TQC. I dont know the price, but know there are one or two more items it needs to run. This may be the same as the 6.0 TQC i do not recall for sure.

if you get the VB then it is my understanding that you wont need the tugger.

can anyone else verify?

as far as your transmission, what are your end goals? High HP or mild mods?

triple disk converter, a JW valve body, and a decent shop to do a good rebuild for mild mods

for high HP, a BTS or JW or suncoast complete transmission is a good place to be.

Thanks for the replies. I bought the edge evolution knowing the edge attitude with juice was hard on the transmission. The customer support at edge sucks to I keep getting the run around and the programmer is only 4 days old. As far as mods go I'm stopping with programmer I have a full intake and a MBRP full exhaust. If I do the transmission with the valve bode and torque converter will this programmer eat the transmission up ? Again thank you for all the feedback. Vito

Nope, he doesn't do the evolution anymore.

i would return the edge if it's only 4 days old. Spend your coin on a chip from PHP or Tony Wildman.
