Fuel Bowl / Water Separator

Ok, I'm . My 01 F250 7.3 had a tiny leak ( little drip stain in the driveway etc ) but today while driving and away from home I came back to my truck just pissing away my diesel. I shut her down. Since I'm traveling I took it to the nearest Ford Dealership I know, I know. Guy was really nice and helped me out. It turns out that the water separator broke and that what was leaking, now my question what is a fuel bowl? Fuel filter with the drain valve, and water separator? Is this all the same thing? Any pics showing them?
I just want to see what they changed and know what Im looking at just in case.
Thanks fellas!

just replaced the rings on mine last week. its very easy to do it your self. just a pain. its a tight squeeze to get tools or your hand to the back side of the valve.
