I got my first oil analysis back. 89,800 on the truck 8300 miles on shell rotella synthetic 5-40. Now I'm just confused. Could someone explain this to me and maybe tell me what yall would do.
TBN = 8.4
Lead = 7 average =4
Flash point = short
Fuel % = - (what ever - means)
Everything else was right on par with the average
They said the lead was a little high, but that it could be from pulling heavy loads and that it's not at the caution point yet. They did'nt comment at all on the flash point or the fuel % (what does a dash mean for fuel %). However they said that my TBN was excellent and that I should send another sample in at 9000 miles. I was hoping to hear at least 10k.
