exaust squeel?!?!

hows it goin! so i have this problem. i posted it in the excursion forum and got a couple replies but i thought if i post it in this forum it might get more looks and replies. I have an 03 excursion w the 7.3 and it has a superchip programmer air rade intake and straight exaust. when i get past half throught in boost the exaust will make like a squeeling sound like a valve is opening in the turbo system or something and am at a lose for what it is. i am checking what replies i have but need more help. thanks.

sounds like you either need a new muffler bearing or its just the turbo spooling. or possibly something with the EBPV maybe.

no its not a surge at all it just makes a squeeling sound like ur squeeling tire but ur not. bgut its only at a certain rpm that it comes in and goes out. its the weirdest thing. i have never heard of anybody elses doing this and i know alot of people w 7.3 diesels. it works just like a valve is opening and closing.

i forgot to mention that if i turn the programmer off it dosnt make the sound as loud. it gets louder when the programmer is on. i am sure it has to do with the with the amount of boost i push through it.

What is the ambient temp? My truck will literally whistle at around 1500rpm's when the EPV is active. It seems to only do it when it's below 30° and when I apply more throttle it goes away.

would it be about the same time your wastegate is opening? could be blowing boost through a mostly sooted port?

Are you sure it's in the exhaust? Could it not just be the turbo spooling? I know mine screams pretty loud at 12 psi and up, course I have a WW.
