Talking performance, battery, mileage

Can low/weak/bad batteries cause performance and mileage issues. Just asking out of curiosity.

Typically if the batteries are bad, it won't even start or just barely. I would guess it may slightly effect performance, but I doubt you would notice it. Most likely it just wouldn't like to start...

Low batteries will cause the alternator to work harder resulting on more load on the engine. You'll have a hard time measuring the difference, and you won't be able to feel it.

the battery is really only for starting and grounding, the alternator takes over everything once the truck is running

should be good to go if you can start it. other than possibly leaving you stranded when you need it most cause it wont start.
