5 Gallon bucket of Merc V?

Anyone know where I can get 5 gal. bucket of Merc V transmission fluid at a good price? Preferably not synthetic because I can't afford that.

1997 F350 SRW CCLB 4x4 XLT 7.3, ZF5, bone stock but not for long.

2000 F550 2WD CC Cab/Chassis PSD (in progress)
DIY Intake with AEM dry cone filter, ZooDad, AIH Delete, Foil Removed, Superchips Flashpaq, Mobile Delvac.



1988 F800 toy... Dozer hauler.. for sale.. 7.8L inline 6, 6sp Trans, 2sp diff

Mercon V is synthetic. The Dex/Mercon is not syn & NAPA has it for the best price I could find when I flushed my trans last summer. Don't know about 5gal buckets I bought 2 12qt cases.

my buddy has a distributor i can find out, i get chevron MD3 by the 5 gal bucket.. you dont want the MV

I guess when I say I don't want sythetic I mean I don't want the boutique stuff, AMSoil, Wolfs Head, etc. I do want Merc V, not MD3. Looks like I'll just have to buy quarts.

why do you feel you need it ? the 4r100 was made for MD3, the older ones crap out if you put MV in them from what i've heard alot about. i'll stick with the old school stuff myself man.

I have a friend thats a mechanic at a ford dealership and he sees way more trucks cars and transmissions than I do, and I trust his word, simple as that. He says don't put MD3 in it, so I don't.

i have never trusted a ford mechanic in my life, im not saying hes lying to you by any means, but sometimes they really dont know....

That sucks. I've been a mechanic since I was about 12 (I'm 33 now) working on diesels for my dad, so I know for the most part when a mechanic is an idiot, and I agree, a lot, if not most, are pretty stupid. This guy knows his ****. He knows my situation and isn't going to lead me astray, especially when he knows if something goes wrong he's gonna be the one helping me lol.
