Edge Juice???

I know there are a lot of haters out there on edge tuners, cant say i mind it to much other than I wish there were some different options. The main question I have is it has a set up option that says something to the matter of "defuel on wot(wide open throttle)" and it allows you to turn it on and off. Should I be turning this off? will it harm the engine or transmission? On that note when I do get on it with the defuel on, and punch it when it goes to shift it does so like crap sits there and spits and sputters for a few secods before it shifts. But when I turn the defueler off it shifts great no hesitations. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have mine set to defuel because my tranny is old and I want it to last. I've never had or heard of the issues you're having...
