EGR delete 7.3?

Ok, have an 02 F 250 cc 4x4 w/ 7.3 and just put the AFE stage 2 intake system, a 4" turbo back flow thru exhaust, and the edge evolution with display and I have it showing exhaust temp, boost, eot, and tranny temp.
my buddy just told me that I need to immediately change my head studs and do an EGR delete. Is this true? and if so, why?
I have the edge set to setting 1 which is tow setting. I did all of this for fuel economy and the extra power when towing my camper. the tow setting adds 60 hp, supposedly the AFE adds upt to 50 hp, and exhaust supposedly around 25. SUPPOSEDLY lol.
did a search on here, didnt see the egr delete for the 7.3 but did for both the 6's.
about how much is this gonna cost me and what type do you recommend? wish I would of known about this before i bought the previously mentioned 3 things, as I would of done this first.

sounds like someone has your 7.3 mixed with a 6.0. u dont have egr and your stock head bolts should be fine wit the setup u have. watch you trans temp towing and your good for as long as u have that truck. 7.3 = reliability at its best

lol yeah, I figured something was wrong with what he had said, I had searched all over on here to see what all I needed to do before I bought that stuff. When he told me that i was like WTH?? figured I must have missed something. When I titled it, that is why I put the ? and 7.3 in there. figured someone would see it and immediately know an answer!!

your buddy needs an edumacation(yes fun made up word) he apparently didnt know that in 03 the 7.3 was produced half the year then the 6.0. HA.

Tell your buddy you did all of that, and added 200 HP injectors and 3 turbos.

lmao he blaims it on me. Said he didnt know I had the 7.3. I'm beginning to wonder if he is related to my girlfriend, everything is always my fault. lol
