it's kinda hard to say. is it 4x4, 2x4, dually??

My 350 4x4 dually, here lately, take off in 2nd. I'll put it up to about 2500 and moderately slip the clutch out and away I go!

I get it up to around 1600-1800 rpm and let the clutch up slowly (to avoid shocking the driveline) in second gear some times it hooks and goes like hell and some times it rips the rear tires to sh!t.. its luck of the draw and how much boost your makeing off the start ..

Mine is a 2wd 99 with the 6 speed

put that bad boy in 4HI start in second at about 2000 or so and play with it. All trucks are different but that should be a good starting point. Don't pop the clutch though. you wanna release quickly but not too fast.
