Which one sounds better? How do they differ in sound?

I think 5" sounds better, It sounds deeper than a 4". Some guys told me a 5" would kill my bottom end torque, but I can't feel any difference. Get the 5", you'll like it.

I have a 5" kit laying in my shed I just took it off this morning. It has everything but the 4" dp. It goes to 5" right after it comes out of the DP. It has a straight thru muffler and it has the tail pipe that goes over the rear axle and sticks out back at the stock location. It has all the hangers and clamps it will fit any cab/bed configuration. It takes about an hour to install and fits really nice. If your near TN. I will sell it cheap if anyone is interested. I had it on my truck for 7 months it sounds good but I wanted something louder so I put a straight pipe on and piped it out the side right under where the cab meets the bed.

I think it should be worth $150. If you want it shipped to you I will do that for the cost. If you come to nashville I will put it on for you for free. Dont forget that you need to havea 4" dp or you can get an adapter to go from factory dp to 5" they dont cost much at truck supply stores here. I can send you pictures if you want to see it.

i've got 2 friends with 5" exhausts on their fords and they sound great...and I don't think they lost any torque...I haven't heard many fords with a 4" exhaust though |

I my have jumped the gun a little offering my exhaust for sale. My friends told me since I live in Davidson county and my truck needs to have a muffler to pass MARTA. I cant sell it before I make sure I can get my truck inspected without it. I hate to put it back on but I can just put it on to get it tested then take it back off. It you want to straight pipe your truck The parts for that are around $100 and it sounds awesome.

get the 5". If you get the 4" you may wish you had gotten the 5". If you get the 5" you will NOT wish you had gotten the 4".
I have the 5" straight pipe with a 6" tip. It sounds and looks awesome. |
