best route would probably be to sell the truck and get the same truck with the option. seems like it would be too much hassle

you should be able to get the neccesary componets to add it on from the dealer. cost??? Ihad the dealer install it in my wifes 04 e-350 box truck as part of the deal. It didn't take them all that long to install it. Good luck

Bump for ya this looks interesting....
You could also...

get a long length of string tie it to the gas pedal, screw pulley onto the floor board, run the string thru the pulley, then pull the string up to the gear selector and tie it off when you get the desired speed and it will maintain that pedal pressure!

Just mash the skinny pedal to the floor. When the speedo tops out there is your cruise control. Although this may have an end result of seeing blue and red flashing lights behind you occassionally.

I agree. And a heavy set of boots will eliminate leg fatigue when holding the skinny pedal to the floor....bump.

Also my style of cruise control may not gain any mpg for you. But it is cheap and easy.
