Hey I have been trying to find a truck for so long. I want a 7.3l with around 50k miles. Do you guys think this truck is a good deal. What should i look for when buying it. I saw the sticky on the what to look for but do you guys suggest me taking into a shop first also....... Thanks

Looks good to me. I don't know the history of the truck. But I would give it a good look over and get a car fax and oasis.

Price seems a little high to me....but it does have low miles too. Id expect to pay more like 23-24k for that truck, but the fact that it has a 7.3 is gonna bring a premium right now too, so that price might be justifyable based on the market...

I aggree on the price, because I can buy an 04-05 6.0L with all the same options right now with about the same amount of mileage for 24,000 by me.

But I deffinately will not give up my 7.3L even though it has 150,000 miles on it.

well after looking this truck up on New Car Prices | Used Car Values - Official Kelley Blue Book Site It says suggested retail is 30,000. If the truck is in great shape and never been wrecked or anything like that. I would offer 25,000 off the lot out the door tax title and everything. See what they say.

Ok this truck has 116K miles on it and the guy just had a new tranny put in it. What do you all think. What if i put like a complete Bankz power pack on it to rebuild the turbo and everything.

Both look like nice trucks. Just my opinion but Banks stuff is pricey and you can buy lots of other stuff for your truck and still get better performance then banks with a chip or programmer. If you looking to buy one to mod I would look for a stock truck and mod it yourself that way you can add what you really want and you know it was done right. Good luck on your search

you can get a lot more bang for your buck without Banks Power Crap. I'd pay $16000 for the 99 with all its got. Maybe find out if the 99 is early or later. If it's early 99 maybe $14000-$15000. Also I've seen that truck on Craigslist for months so he might be willing to deal.
