A filter of some sort . Is it on a tranny line or power steering or what ?

07 F-250 Outlaw , Rough Country 6 inch lift , 37-13.5 R20 Nitto Mud Grapplers , MBRP 5" Exhaust , 08 Mirrors , S&B intake , 5% Tint sides and back , 35% windshield .

im pretty sure its the tranny right before it runs either in or out of the cooler

It looks like a filter to me . Is there a part # of any kind on it .

Pretty sure it's the filter ford installs after doing a tranny job

i would replace with a new one
you don't want a clogged filter and they probably had a reason to install it in first place

Those are sent with every reman trans from ford to catch anything that may be hanging out in the oil cooler so that the trans doesn't get to eat it. They are supposed to be replaced every 30,000 but I don't think that anyone ever does. I highly recommend replacing it and not removing it.

Yes change it like any other filter. Unless of course you do a different filter setup.
