Need Help Replacing Water Pump Gasket

A water pump gasket is leaking...barely, but leaking and I need to replace it. Can someone let me know if there is anything tricky I need to know before I do this repair? Probably a lame question, but I don't want to screw up.

My plan was just to go pick up a gasket from NAPA and pull off the pump...is it that simple?

I dought it's the gasket, how many miles on the truck? I bet it's the pump going bad! Even if it's not the pump, if it hasn't been replaced then it's going to need it soon and the job isn't worth just doing the gasket, just get a pump (comes with a new gasket) and replace it.

It's a new pump, I just bought the truck. It seems clear it's coming from the gasket, very very slowly. Not even enough to really drip. So i'm assuming it's no big deal to replace that gasket?

I could be wrong but sounds like it is coming from the weep hole. but if it is just the gasket. should be straightforward.
