putting in the tranny

I'm gettin ready to install a rebuilt tranny into my L99 F250. was just wondering what you guys thought on tranny fluid.....regular, mobile syn, or royal purple....its a diff of around 150 bucks from top to bottom.....talked to some other guys who said "The red stuff has been around a long time, you know it works", meaning the cheap stuff.

I'd go with whatever the rebuilder recomends. Mercon has been around a long time..
