Engine won't stop!!

My 7.3L won't stop running. I turn the ignition off and the motor keeps running. Just started doing this today. Any thoughts?

Yes I guess so. The mechanic says I may need a new PCM. I don;t know how the PCM just becomes faulty.

Yes, I pulled the ignition selenoid, and the dam thing still runs. I end up pulling the PCM selenoid and it finally quits. Either somthing is telling the PCM to stay on or I think the PCM may be fualty. I tried letting it run in the stop poisition and it finally quite about 30 seconds after the key had been pulled. Not sure what to do next.

No way its the pcm being faulty, its got to be something going on with the ignition.

Have you taken the trim off from around the steering wheel just to watch and see what the ignition tumbler does? Honestly I am not sure whats going on, but maybe just taking that trim off so you can see what the mechanism is doin may help some. Sorry, not much help I know.

Send a message via AIM to dereku
I bet ignition switch or a simple relay. Change all of your relays to be sure.
