Under Dash Boost Leak

Hey guys, I just bought this truck knowing it had a few problems.

Minor at that, I was suspect of a VAC leak under the dash, but after pulling the dash apart, tracing all the vac lines, and then reassembling it all....Ive come to the conclusion its not a vac leak...Reason being i have the hydroboost system, and the hiss under the dash isnt there when idle, and progressively gets louder as boost goes up....Ive checked all the connections in the engine compt, but im not getting any smoke, and if im cruising i can hear the hiss stop, then the truck will surge fwd, then the hiss comes back and i can feel it drag back down.....Any ideas? I swear it sounds like its coming directly in front of the gear shift (6 spd) But I cant be sure.

And I also got an annoying DING from the dash this morning....No lights blinking or anything...just dinging...

Anyone know how to remove the EBPV on a 99? Its annoying while driving.
Any hints, suggestions, on what to do for some simple power? Im new to these 7.3's

Thanks in advance, Tony

Sorry I dont know about your problem, but yes you can delete the ebpv, do a search its pretty much cutting it out, and tapping and plugging, and youre free.
Cheap? DIY intake and straight pipe, then gauges and custom tunes...

There are no boost lines under your dash unless somebody has added a boost gauge. But, the sound and symptoms you're describing sound like your EBPV is kicking on at random times. It's fairly simple to delete.
