Will Flexalite fan help?
I can get this Flexalite fan my brother in law wants for his 01 7.3 through my job. He asked me if it will help his mileage and contribute to the longevity of the engine.
He has an Airaid intake and an exhaust and isn't a "performance" type of guy. He wants to make positive improvements that will help the truck last longer and as always, better mileage. Is the "bang for the buck" there in adding an electric fan set up like this? Also, if he tows once a year that's considered alot for this truck. |

Nope. He will gain nothing and loose an almost fail proof system.

What he said. I wouldn't fool with it at all. I could count on one hand how many times I heard the fan kick in going across Kansas last Aug pulling 9-10k lbs 98-100 deg day.
