4in straight pipe

Hey guys I have the banks exhaust on my truck which is the 4 inch from turbo back. Should I pull the muffler off or no? Is there anything bad caused from this and would it sound choppy or no? I have looked at youtube videos just having trouble getting a good idea how is sounds.

Is there anything bad coming from this like backpressure and stuff like that. I am trying to save the truck and not hurt it in any way. I am being very careful to make sure the truck lasts. I just need to know what to put in place of the muffler I guess a straight pipe but from where and what size.

no bad. turbo=likes no back pressure. gas or diesel. not to much more noise. and check with banks if you have their system they might have a "kit" other wise a local exh shop can at least order some 4in. there are lots of companies that offer a 4in exh delete. hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure MBRP sells a 4" muffler delete. The only exhaust my local shop had in stock was WITH a muffler which is alright by me. Being it is a straight thru design and putting as many miles as I do on I don't want it loud. I do know from looking online though that they offer a 4" muffler delete kit, and the guy there said he could get me a delete kit for his cost since they didn't have one in stock if I did indeed want it to be straight piped.
