Whats around my battery?

The truck i bought a week ago has a k and n intake on it.

there appears to be maybe part of the factory intake still there around the battery. its on the drivers side sets on and around the battery and goes to the front of the truck by the radiator.

does anyone know what this is?

and i need new battery terminals i cant seem to find the ford ones that are on there. I dont wanna buy from the stealer ship

i just need the two silver terminals that connect to the positive posts. at least on mine there are multiple wires that go to a bolt end of terminal.

I will get a pic in the morning im on my way to work. then i will have to figure out how to post pics on there.

It is just a big plastic trim piece. I removed mine a long time.

Oh and please refrain from using the term stealer ship.

You just cut the wires and put new connectors on them. Then you can use any battery terminal from any parts store.

Sounds like the snorkle from the factory intake. Somebody changed to a K&N and didn't remove all of the factory intake. I would also get that K&N out of there before it is to late.

i was wondering if its the snorkel but it looks like the intake is form the fender and this goes towards the radiator.

why lose the k&n?
