trying to search for oil discussions

I have tried oil types oil change and god know what else i have tried.

I cant find threads on what oil everyone is using, even though its a massive debate. and what intervals people are using on there 7.3s I had found one thread but computer batttery died and I cant even find that one anymore.

thanks if anyone can help.

I do not have the money i dont think for amsoil this time cause of having to buy hubs.

I'll make it plain and simple.. the consensus is OIL is OIL. and synthetic oil is synthetic oil. lol. some people like some in their trucks more than others.. anyway i do 3k-3500(lotta city driving) at most and its cheap insurance...

6.0, yea lots of oil debates, 7.3 like ^ said oil is oil our motors dont really care.

What this nation needs is cleaner thoughts and dirtier fingernails...

I agree with both the previous posts. I personally run rotella t6 and have never had any reason to try anything else yet. Far superior than the dino oils.

I was told by the local diesel guys said they run 15 40 year round but Im debating on the 5 40 since NE indiana can get pretty cold here.

I would really like to get amsoil a chance but I want to see real world test and 3rd party test. I cant see spending that much money for a truck that may only get driven 7k to 10k miles a year

If it gets cold where you live, run 5w40, which I've only found in synthetic. I run Rotella 5w40 year round and it does great. Change it every 5,000 miles. Blackstone agrees that it is a good oil.
