Stock MPG for 03 7.3L Auto

Whats everyone with an 03 7.3L with an automatic getting in MPG? I haven't been able to get over 14.7 a tank, and thats with some freeway and some around the town.

my truck weighs around 7k and i get 14.7 in town and if i do mixed highway i get over 15 thats odd you're gettin that low. how much hwy? what speeds?? what gearing?

I have a 2wd with 3.73's and I'm getting 18 on the highway with Edge's 100 horse tune. Around town probably 16 or so

I have an 03 250 2wd all stock and I get about 15 around town and mixed about 18 and all highway if it isnt to hilly (which i live in FL) i get 21mpg without a load or anything.

Not much highway, maybe 100 miles or so?
I am not sure what gears i have, i bought the truck used and i keep finding things i didn't know it had.

OK so i was basing my MPG off what my display was telling me and i just read on another thread to not believe that thing if you had mods so i did the calculations and the best MPG i have gotten 17.3!

Can't complain about that 17.3 mpg if that is on hyw. If it is street driving, you have to drink a few beers for having a superb vehicle.

There is....or should be.....a tag on the differential that should tell you what gears you have. Since it's a SRW, you probably have 3.73s, if you had a dually, they'd probably be 4.11s.

OK cool thanks. It seems like the first owner really modded this thing out though so i wouldn't be surprised if it has different gears.
