I have built plenty of gas engines, but this is my first diesel PowerStroke guy. Engine will be totally re-built with new injectors and new turbo, piston/rings, all bearings, lifters, oil pump and gaskets.
What is the best way to make sure the engine has the oil pressure built up to make sure to fire the injectors for the 1st time? What is the best way to make sure the injectors and their lines are primed with diesel fuel and ready to go? Are there any other pitfalls I should be looking at when firing up the re-built PowerStroke for the 1st time? I don't want to re-invent the wheel on this re-build so that is why I am asking the more educated Forum memebers then myself in this area for their help in firing up the 7.3 after the re-build.
