What kind of transmission??
If it is an automatic, I would say you have troubles....
My last F-350 had the reversing clutches burn out, and when we had it rebuilt with a towing kit, it became readily apparent that the reversing clutches were the smallest of all the gears. Mine had about 150,000 miles on it when imported from Texas to Australia, and my guess is it had been abused in reverse with a big fifth wheel. Anyways, if it is an automatic, better look and smell the trans fluid and maybe drop the pan to look at filter and residue in the pan to see if the clutches are disintegrating... Regards, Ranger |

My bad guy's I should've gave all the important stuff like AT or manual...... It is an AT the truck is a 2000 model but it only has 63,000 miles on it. I know that these trucks transmissions are trouble , but I thought I still should get 100,000 out of it. I knew the person who had when i purchased it and he babied that truck never pulled anything with it and never abused it in anyway that I seen. I just don't understand why the trouble so early? I appreciate all of you that are trying to help me with this issue.

Does it seem more like a shudder? Check the fluid level of your differential. And check the tranny fluid as the 'Ranger said.
