T5 oil review,7.3
I put T5 in my truck on my last change and i can't begin to tell you guys how easy my truck starts up in the MN cold now. I was at my parents from wednesday night to last night and it got down to 2 above. I went out and cycled the GP's and cranked her over for about 2 seconds and pow she fired right up with NO stiction what so ever. Also no blue smoke at all. This is with the truck NOT plugged in. I have never had a 7.3 start that easy before. With my 15-40 it would blow blue smoke even at 30-40deg outside, so this oil has truly helped my engine run better in the cold. My whole family is also changing over to either T5 or T6 in their 6.0's with excellent results in the cold too. Shell, keep up the good work!

If you like that stuff try Schaeffers 5w40

Even better huh? We get schaeffers stuff at our shop, i should see how much they would charge me for the engine oil through our account.

Yeah way better.
I like the t5 its a good cheap oil but the schaeffers is far better. The reason you see the 6.0 guys praising the t5 is the ones you see havent experienced it below 45 degrees yet. It helps with stiction a bit. It actually brought my stiction issue back slightly. Back to Schaeffers for me next time around |
