I have a chance to get a 2001 F250 ecsb 4x4 with 163k miles. The ignition switch went out so they wired in a push button to start it. Needs the glowplugs changed. The 4x4 switch doesnt work. and truck needs tires. But it does have a Ranch hand front bumper on it. Also the trans has less than 4000 miles on it. He wants $2k for it.
Been parked for a year, going tomorrow and crank it to see how it runs.

Think this is worth it?

For 4? Yes.
Not too bad on mileage. You can fix ignition, GPs are easy (might actually be the relay), 4wd might be bad vacuum lines to the hubs or Tcase or bad motor on it. I'd say yes, good deal.
Check for oil leaking, fuel leaks, fuel/air filter. Pull off intake tube, move turbo wheel in/out, up/down and check for play. Shouldn't be hardly anything noticebale.

There is some oil leaking in front of motor on top. Some where around the hpop. But it only drips a bit after you kill engine. Its been sitting a year and I pulled dipstick and the oil is still full. Could it be possible since the ignition went out the glowplugs quit working?

Im going look it over tomorrow and crank it. Will definetly check everything out. Will let yall know if i decide to get it or not

Yes GPs may not work cause of the ignition.
If I had 4k I'd have taken it haha

Yeah i got u. Hopefully everything checks out on it. I got my truck sold already if everything is good on this one. Sold it in about an hour after putting ad on craigslist.
