Boost Problems!

Installed my Edge Insight CS this week and I noticed that when I stop on it in the 75hp setting i am only seeing 15-16 psi. That seems really low compared to what everyone else is seeing. Truck only has 69,000 miles. Do I have a leak somewhere? or is something getting weak?

mine wont make max boost, empty, until almost hitting the rev limiter. with a manual boost controler, i can see 20-21 with the superchips. i did hit 20 hauling a 30 ft travel trailer up a hill w/o the superchips. before i changed out all the intake/intercooler boots, i was only seeing 15..... i did put all new dieselsite boots on.

With a superchips I can hit 22 lbs empty on the economy tune.
What you have going on does seem low. Have you checked all your boots?

Check my boots this afternoon and some of them had an oily residue on them. What does this mean? Sorry, first diesel i've owned.

Mine hits 22psi with no tune. Just intake, exhaust and the red line on the wastegate unplugged.

No worries, theres supposed to be a little oil/oily residue in them. The black piece that connects the 2 boots is actually what oils your turbo so there should be a bit more residue on the boot closest to the turbo and not a crazy amount on the boot leading to your filter housing.

check the wastegate rod, how much thread is still exposed, theres about 1.5" of threads on it, and some are way looser then others i have seen, I would hit 22 wot with a superchips in my manual. but it takes near redline to get there. also, the red line to the wastegate is unhooked and blocked off. mine hammers right to around 15-16 from a stop then goes up from there. also, load makes boost. give me a hill and i can SHOOT to 24# easy.
