So im up at school in Maine and in a little trouble. my truck is very low on fuel and the nearest station is 20 miles away (thank you Maine) the only diesel I can find in town is non highway boat diesel. is two or three gallons going to give the ol 7.3 troubles?

No it will be just like running tax'd diesel, but cheaper. But if you get caught it is a 10K fine.

Holy**** 10k fine?? Didn't know that one

You'll be fine.. these motors are simply marvels. I was in a very similar situation and in the middle of nowhere, and NOBODY had diesel. I had to drive around back of the station, pull into the grass inbetween concrete curbs and stuff, and pump 3 gallons of kerosene into my tdi to make it to another gas station.

let her eat bud... my 7.3 loves the off road here, seems to get better MPG and quiets the injectors down a bit

If you are in a bind where no diesel is available, don't forget that your diesel can run on cooking oil just fine. It is expensive but still a lot cheaper than a tow truck charge.
