Might be getting a 01 7.3

Guy wants to trade me a 01 3/4 ecsb for my jeep liberty. It has almost 300k miles and he said 2 injectors are out and it blows a lil white smoke. It also uses a lil oil between oil changes. Any thoughts about this deal?

Well, a 4x4 ecsb truck with 300K miles are going for about 7-8K, depending on condition. So, with problems, maybe 5-6K? What do you value your jeep at?

If the truck was running good then it'd be a good trade.

Then if that's the plan, you could buy a nicer gas powered truck with 4x4 for the same price and less miles.

imho, 4x2 sucks. but i guess it depends where you live. in our area i would price his 300k half broken truck with 4x2 around 5k. it would sell higher here, but would take some time.

but if you goign to fummins it, that coudl change the game. whats the swap into a 4x2 worth to you? what would you do with the 7.3?
