what is this? ( on turbo)

so I know its hard to see in this pic but Its too dark to take one now so I circled it but its mounted on the side of the turbo and a red wire connects to it. Well the connection was rusted so the wire just came loose ( noticed it while trying to find an oil leak) the wire is just hanging there now. Im not sure how long it hasnt been making contact.

it is the wastegate actuator. it opens and closes the wastegate to bleed off extra boost pressure. a lot of guys will unplug it to gain more boost. i would make sure the red hose is plugged, otherwise you are losing a little boost....
