How to tell if TC is aftermarket?

Is there anyway to tell if I have an aftermarket TC? I removed the inspection cover a couple of months ago, but seeing how I am not a pro at identifying TCs it didn't tell me much other than it's silver. The reason I ask is I bought the truck about 6 months ago with 136,000 mi. I am now at 149,000, the transmission hasn't missed a beat, but I can't help but have that back of my mind concern that it could go out at anytime. If anyone can offer some help that would be great!

I did forget to mention that between 2,800 & redline the motor feels a little rough. Not sure if this would be the flexplate or TC?

Nope, mine is nice and shiny silver....but I know that is what the stock ones look like new. Just trying to figure out if the previous owner just put in a new stock one or an aftermarket. I assume from the lack of responses that it is probably not possible to tell....
