looking at 7.3...help

its an 01 cc 7.3l diesel, 10k, my buddy wants to buy it is there anything specific to the 7.3 that he should check? it has 130k miles. thanks guys

sounds like a good price... just see how the tranny shifts.. these things are pretty trusty.. i'd say that waterpump is do to go out before 160K(happens trust me haha) but otherwise check turbo fins make sure its had clean air. Nothin much else.... is it stock?

Check for moisture in the valley of the motor, may be fuel or oil. Check for white smoke during initial startup. Listen for any sort of injector knock. Other than that, smooth idle and smooth shifting.

Sounds like a good price. Tranny is the weak link. They all leak a little oil here and there on ocassion that will need your attention.
