Gauges

Hey guys I just bought a 99 f350 and the gauges (speedo, tac, fuel... ect) work on and off...

The guy i bought it from thought that the contacts need to be cleaned but was scared to pull it apart and never really got into it. Also the lights kinda half *** work, dim or half on...

Does this seem like something that it could be or have any of you had this problem?

Also anyone know the link of a good write up to pull the gauge cluster out and the dash apart?

pull the dash bezel off(just snaps on and off) then u have access to the cluster bolts to remove it(4x7mm bolts).. its really easy
