dont think its turbo surge....

all right guys, after i did my DIY intake, i started to get a sh sh sh sh sound at about 2200 rpms when id shift into OD on my manual, usualy when im pushing the truck, if id back out of it it would stop and id roll back in and it wouldnt happen. i assumed it was surge. now that i have the boost gauge hooked up i watch when it does it and i dont see movement from the gauge that would indicate that the turbo is sputtering. any thoughts?

It's surge, mine was the same way. My gauge and my dads wouldn't move either. I put the ported shroud housing on and it never did it again. Getting dad to buy one for his now.
