Boost Pressure w/out fooler???

Hi, this is my first post. I often read posts on this site and think you all are very helpful, so I decided to make this my home forum! My question today is, how much boost should I be making with only the factory exhaust straight piped, bully dog 6 position chip ( yes I know get something different, give me time ) and the Glowshift 3-in-1 Diesel gauge with boost, egt, and trans temp. I just installed the the gauge set last night and took it down the road and from my readings, my truck is supposed to defuel at 22? psi. I had the bully on level 2, 80hp setting, and hit 28 psi under no load other than the truck. I got on it pretty hard in second gear and thats when the boost hit. As far as I know the boost fooler has not been installed, no wicked wheel or anything. Thanks any info is appreciated.

Theres no " defuel " it just is a Max boost pressure setting set by the ECM, once its hit or overcome it flicks the light and retards everything.

Being chipped youll see max 30psi, anything over 25psi really on a stock turbo is becoming inefficent, anything over 30psi and your stocker wont last long..

Ok thanks, your truck looks good. I have the 07 front end also, what k hid's do you have? Yours looks just like an 05-07 minus the 6.0. Did the 08 mirrors bolt directly up?

03 turbo...How does your 5 inch exhaust sound? My next mod on the list is exhaust and the debate is dual 4 or single. My big deal is sound, I really want to hear the awesome sound of my 7.3 but with a passenger side rear exit exhaust...not much noise for me...thats why I want to do dual 4, so will the 5 inch satisfy my need for noise?

mirrors bolt right up minor things you have to do so they fit flush i have a write up in the Exterior section on how i did it.

The 5" is awesome, ive had them all and by far the deep 5" is perfect..its a head turner..

any thoughts on doing a dual 5 inch that would be my ideal...making a y pipe behind the rear and running flex pipe over the rear and a straight piece of 5 inch pipe out to the tip so you cant see the flex?
