I figured I might need some new manifold to up pipe bolts...called ford and they said they had 2 different bolts for them? anybody know what size bolts fit? Don't know if I need any locktite for the bolts or not? Any input will help

i would suggest that you crawl under and eye ball the manifold to up pipe bolts because i just replaced mine and got the two different sizes from Tousley but they ended up all being the same so i had to re use two of them. I cant help you with what kind, ive had enough problems with exhaust related components to just buy oem and be done. anti seize is not a bad idea on the reinstall either.
you might want to find out the availability of the collector from your stealership. the ears broke on mine while taking the bolts out, after plenty of blaster and out of the truck. don't forget the o rings under the turbo and the pedestal while you are there. i got the kit from guzzle and it had everything i needed for the reinstall. lots of patience and luck!!! |

and is the anti seize for the bolts or supposed to put it on the gaskets to help them seal? I'm gonna give it a try with the turbo still on the truck, might end up taking the transmission out instead, since I have a brand new clutch sittin here anyways |

the only difference is the length. the anti seize is just for the bolts and nuts to make future removal easier. never done it that way should be fun.

Thanks for the input man...how hard was the old manifold to up pipe bolts to get out? Mine seem like there pretty rusted in there

mine were not that hard to get out. the four on the collector were the boogers.
