New From Az

Hello all!

My name is Cody and Im from Goodyear, Az.

Im about to pick up a 96 f250 7.3/auto, it already has the D60 conversion!

I am by no means a mechanic but I know my way around a gas motor.. LOL! Whole new ball game here. What should I be looking for when checking out the truck?(Mechanical Wise) Of course the obvious, idle, smooth shifts, frame cracks/damage, etc. What specifically should I be checking for?

leaks, turbo fin damage and shaft play, tranny fluid, try and get a mainenance record, if you have the opportunity get the tranny checked by out by a trusted mechanic.

if you find leaks, post here (actually in the 94-97 section). soem arent as bad as they seem.

Well......

Just got home with my new(to me) truck! This is a beast and runs strong!

Only problem that needs immediate attention is the fact that the blinkers do not blink, they just come on. Should I be looking into the relay? Also needs some tires

do u hear the rely clicking? and do u mean the lights on the dash comeon? if so do they flash quick?

There is no noise coming from the relay. The turn signals come on but do not flash when the turn signal is engaged. They remain solid, like a break light. On the other hand they work when the Hazards are on, so I assume they are off of 2 separate relays?
