Dealer O-Ring prices SUCK ! ! ! !

I drained the fuel filter the other day, never was a leaker till afterwards. I opened /closed the fuel drain valve a few times, still had the leak. I was in Baton Rouge, figgered what the heck, pick up a couple high dollar orings from them. Figgered FORD would hit me for 10 bucks at least for the two 1/4" orings.... WRONG ---- Guess what, the two orings were 43 dollars ! !

The guy told me the price, I reply, I just want the orings, not the assembly,,, then he says that IS the orings price, NOT complete assembly , complete is 64 dollars.....

WTF ! fergit it,,,,,,,,, I drove 15 miles to Granger, they have the same #202 encapsulated gaskets for $5.62 for 25 ov them. !

FORD prices - what a ripoff!

and they arent consistant. the $26 cps that others sell (same part number) is $48 here at our local dealer.

speaking of o-rings, are the injector o-rings that deiselrings sell the good ones or origional crappy ones?

I was pretty shocked myself last week when I got mine. I got mine, plus 3 keys cut, at 10% over dealer cost and it was still $30.

flourosilicone

yeah I bought all the fuel bowl orings from dieselorings, awesome quality and prices. I rebuilt the drain valve with the flourosilicone orings, I think the truck will disintegrate before those go bad again. someday there will just be a couple of translucent blue orings laying on the ground.
