SES Reset?

Hey guys, for some reason my SES light popped on tonight. It happened when I was at WOT from about 55 to 85 MPH. I have the dual relief valve installed and the wastegate disconnected. I don't think boost went above about 20 PSI or so. I am not even sure thats what the SES is all about, I'm just giessing from conditions just before the light came on.

I wish I did. I think I will run it buy the local AutoZone they have a code scanner and will do it for me. I hope it's nothing serious.

Ok it was error code P1249 "wastegate......blah blah" something. Over boost would be my assumption. I have the waste gate disconnected and a dual relief valve installed. Any suggestions? Another thing, my boost gauge is hooked via a AIH and with the wastegate connected, does not go over 15-16 PSI, without it connected, it will go to maybe 20-21 PSI. Is this normal?

everything sounds about right....i would expect 15-19 pounds of boost out of your turbo stock under heavy load....and the code sounds like your relief valve may have had a little glitch causing the code...sounds like all is well with your rig .....Marc

Yeah Marc, I think all is well. I have stomped the crap out of it trying to get the code again, but no luck.

I was a bit concerned that it may be something else, which would have sucked.

nah not at all, good to see someone else enjoying it.

Hey back to my original post, the SES light tripped once again today, just when I thought all was well, same error. It would appear that my dual relief valve is not doing the job. I'm open to suggestions.
