Truck thinks door is open when it's not??? PLEASE !!
I have a stupid annoying problem with the new truck, it thinks one of the door (i think drivers front) is open when none are open. It's a pain because the light stays on for a long time also the **** light on the dash is driving me crazy.
Is this common?? How does the system work on this truck? where is the pin or switch which tells the truck the door is closed? BTW its a ext cab. Thanks |

usually the switch is just coated with dust and stuck.....once you get to it...you can clean it up good, and blow it out with compressed air, and return it into service for another 3-4 years. Typically the drivers door is the one that acts up the most, because it is the most heavily used....but if you can kind of figure out when it happens by which door you just opened and closed that will help you out, cause sometimes it isn't the drivers! |

yeah there are 2 screws. one by the door handle and the other is behind the lense for the courtesy light. remove the little triangle piece by the window first then take those 2 screws out and lift up on the door panel.
