Grille only conversion

Hey I can't remember, does the 05+ grilles fit the 99-04 header panel?

I already have the 05+ headlights in and I cut the header panel for them to fit. I'm thinking about just throwing on an 06 black XL grill just to see what it would look like. They are cheap. I don't plan on changing the header or the bumper. I know I have to cut the bottom of the grill for it to fit, but how is it mounted to the header?

Send a message via Yahoo to Dave
The grill needs to be cut on the bottom to be used with the 99-04 bumper

What's the best way to attach the bottom after it's cut?

I'd go ahead and get a bumper along with it. Just makes it look a whole lot better.

Yeah I know it does but the grill is only like 60 bux I had no intention of finishing the conversion right now cause of $$, but the grill is so cheap I figured I could put it on there and see if I like it. If I don't I can go back to this grill easy enough.

I think you have to zip tie the bottom of the grill if you don't use the new header panel...

Yeah, might as well! I think you're truck would look way better without the chrome.
