Hello all,
I recently bought a 1997 F350 single wheel Crew Cab that had a utility box on it. The type that the phone companies and fleet service vehicles have on them. I sold it yesterday and delivered to the guy while it was still on the truck. He had a crane so we unbolted it, unplugged the harness for the lights on the box and lifted it off. Sounds easy enough but now my ABS dash light is on, the cruise doesn’t work, and the transmission is acting like it is slipping but shifts fine. I used some trailer lights that plugged into the harness adaptor to run as temp stop/tail lights and suspect that that electrical circuit needs something else to present the right load or ground to the ECM in order to make all of the above mentioned items work properly since they are all on the number 13 fuse. I replaced the fuse with a new one but the old one was not blown nor were any others. Any assistance is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance
P.S. I had zero problems of this sort until right after the box came off.
